Note: in this section, we will use primes to denote the CCD coordinate system, to keep the notation consistent with that of the astrometry section (Sect. , p. ). For example, we will use the term ``the CCD x'-axis'', or just ``the x'-axis'', to denote what would otherwise just be called ``the CCD x-axis''. Unprimed quantities will refer to the ideal plate coordinate system.
