Description of the components.

This system consists of three components

  1. CCD camera head.
  2. CCD controller box.
  3. 8255 PC I/O card.

The CCD camera head is mounted on the lowermost guidetelescope, and should not be removed in daily operation. The CCD controller box is located next to the guide telescope, where it's mounted together with the controller box for the X-Y table.
One short cable connects the controller box with the CCD camera head. This cable has 15 pins SUB-D connectors in both ends. The connection between the controller box and the 8255 card is a cable with a 37 pin SUB-D connector in the end which goes in to the controller box, and a 25 pin SUB-D connector in the 8255-card end.
The power connection is split into one ELCO 38 pin connector, and one 9 pin SUB-D connector.
The ELCO conn. supplies the voltages for the electronics, and the 9 pin SUB-D con. supplies the voltage for the Peltier element. Both powersupplies is physically located in the basement electronics rack, and is labeled "CCD POWER, GUIDE" for the electronics power, and "GUIDE PELTIER " for the peltier power.
