Very little contamination found in recent bakings

After the most intense baking so far, three two working day baking cycles were made to see whether contamination could be found from more moderate baking cycles. The pictures below are from the last of the three cycles, made on July 21 '99.

The plug at the bottom of NOTCam. To make any contamination stand out, the left half was been wiped with a dry cloth. But no contamination can be seen.

Looking into the valve leading to the vacuum pump from the NOTCam side. Just inside of the rubber O-ring, a dull ring is visible. To the left, a part of it has been wiped off. The catalyst for creating this ring is probably improper cleaning of previous contamination.
