The sessions

Sessions are held in room 086 at the Rockefeller Building each thursday (except for the thursday in week 42 - vacation) at 14:15 am to 16:00 am. (Some might say that this is a very deep thing: Which week is the vacation week? - 42 of course! ;-)

Practical things

• Want course points?
  Both Ph.D. and M.Sc. students will get 2 course points after a satisfactory evaluation of their participation in the study group. The evaluation will be on the pass/no-pass scale.
  - Ph.D.-students will have to give one full lecture (an exam) on one of the subjects of the study group and participate activily. Furthermore, it would be nice if hand-outs were made for the exam-lecture.
  - M.Sc.-students have two choices:  
  1) to participate actively by making at least one oral contribution (eg. 30 min.) and make a written report (max. 15 pages).
  2) to give two oral contributions (the last one will correspond to an exam-lecture, which is evaluated internally).
• Don't want course points?
  If you don't want/need course points, but are interested in the subjects we would very much like to see you anyway - you could always decide on a talk-subject later...
